This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

A new frills free place right in downtown Asheville to get our Vietnamese fix. The rare beer Pho and pork bowl were both authentic tasting and highly enjoyable. The protein portion in both Pho and Bowl were light compared to our regular Vietnamese place.

A little hard to find from the outside but a great spot to get some authentic pho. Got the special pho dac biet (~$21) and vietnamese iced coffee. A little pricey but it came absolutely loaded with plenty of noodles and meat. I could tell the broth was cooked with attention to detail. Very well seasoned, clear, and a tasted like a warm hug from the fattiness. Cafe sua da could use a little more condensed milk but it will definitely get you wired!

This is the best Vietnamese restaurant I’ve been to in the US. The food is legit Vietnamese and rivals my mom’s food, which is saying A LOT. The phở is so flavorful and clean. It tastes exactly how it should. They are generous with the bean sprouts and herbs. Everything I had tastes like home. I can’t wait to go back. If you want true, authentic Vietnamese food, you have to go to Sen!

Tried out this newer restaurant yesterday (may 2026) that opened in December 2025, and they’re already doing a great job. The menu is still on the smaller side right now, but everything they offer seems really well done. We ordered the fresh shrimp rolls and the chicken rice dish, and both tasted fresh and flavorful. Everything came out quickly, and our waitress was super friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Looking forward to coming back to try their pho next time!

This is truly the best pho Asheville has to offer!!!! I got pho ga (chicken pho) & the chicken was so succulent and delicious and fresh & the broth tasted incredible. So flavorful. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable and helped me order new things I have never had before. All of the food that I had was delicious. It was a fantastic experience overall and I cannot wait to go back!
